| Double Hour Day and All-Nighter Announcement - September 20th and the 24th | ||

Greetings Dibbzians, Summer is over, my friends. September might be the Monday of months when everyone settles back into their dreary schedules, but we feel your pain and have responded accordingly with an All-Nighter and a Double Hour Day. First off, Saturday, September 20th is the All-nighter and as you’re all well aware, there is NO better way to relax than by yelling at your friends all night until the sun comes up. They aren’t as good at COD4 as you are and if you’re not there to rub their faces in that fact, who will be? This isn’t some menial responsibility you can pass over to someone else…they’re YOU’RE friends…and friends don’t let friends respawn - until they don’t suck at least. In the spirit that important moral lesson, Mike and I will be on hand to dispense cans of Whoop-Ass right along with the drinks and food that already come with the $25 spot. There will be many tournaments and even rewards for winning said tournaments… You can reserve your spot for the All-Nighter by signing up at www.GameTabs.com and requesting an invite to the Dibbz All-nighter event. Once you’ve paid via paypal or at Dibbz, your request will be accepted and your spot secure. Do this quickly because the All-Nighter WILL SELL OUT, and probably quickly. Do not wait! Double Hour Day – End of Summer edition – is coming on Wednesday, September 24th. We will double ANY block of time purchased up to 60 hours. This means that your 3-Hour block gets upgraded to a 6 hour block, your 5 hour into a 10 hour, and yes, even your 15 hour block will be doubled to 30 hours. At that point, it’s a buck an hour…and given the large amount of exciting fall game releases, this is money well spent. On a final note, you might be wondering about www.GameTabs.com and why we’re mentioning it so much. Essentially, it’s like a Myspace or Facebook for the gaming community. The idea is to concentrate all the events, tournaments, guilds, clans and general gamers into one place, so that we can all find out what’s going on in the local gaming community. | Double hour day - Tuesday, June 24th 2008 | ||

The Double-Hour Deal will be starting early this summer. Come in on Tuesday, June 24th and we will double ANY block of time purchased up to 60 hours. This means that your 3-Hour block gets upgraded to a 6 hour block, your 5 hour into a 10 hour, and yes…even your 15 hour block will be doubled to 30 hours. This is a dollar per hour, good friends…and it will ONLY be available on Tuesday, June 24th, no exceptions! We have also begun reserving spots for the Saturday, June 21st All-Nighter. It's been way too long since we've held one of these so it's time to continue the tradition. Reserve a seat now! Don't wait because there has never been an All-Nighter that didn't fill up days before the actual event! Come in Saturday evening, and for $25, stay until the Sunday morning cleaning crew (named Justice) kicks us out after the sun comes up. Lastly, for those of you that remember our rather unpleasantly warm summer last year, fear not! Dibbz is now the proud owner of a massive new A/C unit that goes very nicely with the new PC's we built for the store earlier in the year. As I write this, Dibbz remains a comfortable 72 degrees in spite of the furnace outside we call southeast Louisiana. If you request it, we have no problem hanging meat in here to prove how well it works! |

| Holiday Hours and updates | ||

FYI - Starting on December 17th (Monday), Dibbz holiday hours will go into effect. We generally stay open well past midnight anyway, but during the holidays you'll definitely see someone behind the counter until at least midnight. As per usual, if it is after midnight or you just donm't see someone behind the counter, look for a Dibbz employee sitting on the middle row of PC's nearest the service counter and they will be happy to help you. Unless it's Scott, because he's generally unhappy. No one likes Scott. If Scott had a puppy, the puppy would crap on his shoes as often as possible. Also, look for a holiday All-Nighter announcement soon. Just like every All-Nighter, IT WILL SELL OUT. This means you shouldn't wait until the day before to consider buying a spot. Be ready for some insane LAN's involving me and your inevitable defeat in UT3, COD4, and any other game that I'm not terrible at. |

Should you keep your mouth closed when you walk into a smelly bathroom? By smelling the air that someone has saturated with poo particles, are you yourself ingesting poo? Will you be able to hold your breath long enough? Do you really have to pee that badly...? I'm not sure exactly what choice you'll make, but you should all understand that the All-Nighter will be pretty great this time thanks to the new PC's and games, excellent new A/C system, and arcade machines. As per usual, Prepay via Paypal or come into the store to reserve your spot. Don't wait! It will sell out. |

Check out the System Specs Page for specifics. Time for a few Announcements: New PC Test days: - We need your help this coming Tuesday and Wednesday (Sept. 25th and 26th) to test these beasts. Our plan is to bribe you with a $1 per hour offer, good on the 25th and 26th ONLY! After that, the time disappears. We may extend this to future Tuesdays and Wednesdays depending on how it goes. Beefed up Referral System - We felt another good way to inaugurate the new systems would be to beef up our referral system. We used to give One hour to Dibbzians who brought their friends. Now, if you bring in a new customer, we will give you 3 Free Hours as long as your friend grabs a 3 hour block or more for him or herself. Simple as that...Bring a friend, get 3 hours. The new guy/girl still gets a free hour for starting up an account as well! New Arcade Machines: - It is worth noting that Dibbz has acquired a Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 arcade machine, as well as a Street Fighter 3: 3rd Strike machine which should be in within a couple of weeks. Belive it or not, the company couldn't find a home for them :( These boxes need your love if you want them to stay! - Lastly, keep your eyes peeled for an All-Nighter Announcement. The new Dibbz PC's won't feel quite right if they haven't been broken in with the cornerstone of the LAN Gaming world. |

| Child's Play Charity Comes to the New Orleans Childrens Hospital | ||

http://www.childsplaycharity.org The New Orleans Children's Hospital was finally added to the Child's Play website as a donation headquarters. This is a gaming-oriented charity and I can't think of a better way to donate time or money than to something each of us, as gamers, are passionate about. The website describes exactly how everything works and why this is such a touching and powerful way to help some kids who could really use what this industry has to offer. The gist of it is that there are plenty of ways to donate to a charity like this, but sometimes the most important and personal ways are overlooked in favor of more immediate needs such as medicines and research. Those are important things, but Child's Play attempts to focus on the children in this equation. These are sick, lonely, scared, but brave and normal kids who could use some positive distractions and smiles during what is, for most of them, the fight of their lives. Dibbz will be donating some l337 gear and I encourage everyone to do the same, or at least to help make suggestions. The New Orleans Children's Hospital has an Amazon Wishlist that needs some tweaking by people like us who know which products are worthwhile! Check out the general forum and let us and anyone else thinking of donating know which are your top picks from that list. Also, Justice (who has been in touch with the hospital and actually requested its participation in the event) will be figuring out if there are other direct ways for us to help out at the hospital.
